CEO and Owner

Thomas R. Tolkacz

Tom is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a concentration in soil science with an emphasis in turf, grounds management and forestry. He has worked throughout many differing and progressive departments within the company – gaining invaluable knowledge.

Prior to Swingle, Tom worked in a variety of green industry related positions such as golf courses, municipalities, universities and private companies. An active participant in many green industry associations both locally and nationally, Tom has been honored with some of the industry’s highest awards for contributions to the growth and development of the industry and the many individuals he has supported and mentored. In 1998, Tom became the fifth employee/owner of Swingle. As CEO, his focus is on continuing the vision of John Swingle to “Stay ahead of the Pack” through a relentless focus on customer service and employee development.

John Gibson

John joined the Swingle team in 1991. He attended the Colorado Schools of Mines and completed his education at the University of Phoenix, graduating with a degree in Business Management. John’s technical experience continues through maintaining various industry licenses and certifications.

A strong supporter of industry associations, John is past president of both state and national green industry trade associations. He was a leader in the green industry’s preparation and response to Colorado’s severe drought in 2002. John’s overall industry leadership has been recognized with many awards and honors – most recently having been named one of the “Top 20 Most Influential Leaders in the Green Industry” by Green Industry Media. John was promoted to the President of Swingle in October of 2008. As President, his focus is on designing and executing the strategy to support Swingle’s vision of delivering exceptional services through outstanding employees to both residential and commercial customers.

Director of Sales and Marketing

Eric Gunderson

Joining the Swingle team in 2012, Eric is responsible for management of the Inside Sales group, Landscape Care Consultant team and marketing efforts of the business. Prior to Swingle, Eric spent seven years with Jarden Corporation in a similar capacity within the mass retail DIY market.

During this assignment he also participated as a Board Member of the Outdoor Power Equipment Aftermarket Association (OPEAA). Eric has spent over 20 years in progressive sales roles, with extensive experience in B2B and B2C leadership positions. An avid outdoorsman, Eric spends his free time “playing” in the Colorado mountains. Eric holds his undergraduate degree from The American University and MBA from Regis University.

Vicki Pine

Joining the Swingle team in 2004, Vicki is responsible for Swingle’s Customer Care Call Center, Human Resources, Information Technology and Training and Quality Assurance departments.

Prior to Swingle, Vicki’s work history includes 22 years with Hewlett-Packard in roles as National Business Administration Manager and Business Manager for Colorado, Indiana and Michigan sales offices. Vicki attended Indiana Wesleyan University and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau. Vicki’s commitment to excellence in service is extended to external customers as well as to the development and growth of the Swingle employee, with the goal to be the “employer of choice” in the greater Denver/Fort Collins area.

Paul Reimers

Joining the Swingle team in 2011, Paul is responsible for Swingle’s Finance and Accounting departments. Prior to Swingle, Paul’s history includes 27 years with UPS in roles as Accounting Supervisor, Finance Manager and Controller in Buffalo, NY, Atlanta, GA and Denver, CO.

Paul has his undergraduate degree from SUNY Buffalo and his MBA from St. Bonaventure University. Paul has been married to Debora for over 30 years and has three children in college. Paul is actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America and his hobbies include golf, camping, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

Kelly Gouge

With Swingle since 1997, Kelly is responsible for all operations activities across the organization. Prior to Swingle, Kelly’s history includes five years as a professional forester – working for the U.S. Forest Service and Texas Forest Service agencies.

Kelly graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelors degree in Forest Management. He is a Certified Arborist, holds a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) certification and is a member of both the International Society of Arboriculture and Society of American Foresters.

Northern Colorado Regional Manager

Tom Lynch

With Swingle since 2009, Tom is responsible for Swingle’s operations and business development in the northern market of the Colorado Front Range. Tom’s experience in the lawn, tree, and landscape industry exceeds twelve years.

Prior to his current position, Tom worked at the Denver headquarters’ office as the assistant Lawn Care Manager. In addition, Tom previously spent ten years as the Vice President of Operations at Lawn Doctor of Denver. Tom is also an active board member with the Colorado Association of Lawn Care Professionals, serving as an industry representative to Legislative Day on the Hill and Day of Service in Washington, D.C.

Senior Operations Manager, Enhancement Services

Jason R. Anderson

With a diverse perspective on residential, commercial and utility arboriculture, Jason has 17 years of professional experience in the landscape and tree care industry. Originally from the southeastern United States, he holds degrees from both North Metro Technical Institute in Atlanta, and Georgia Southern University.

He started his career as a managing partner of Southeast Tree Expert Co. in Marietta, GA, and previously managed ValleyCrest Tree Care Services and Lucas Tree Expert Co. in southern Florida before joining Swingle. An ISA Certified Arborist, Jason has been a member of the Florida and Southern Chapters, and most recently the Rocky Mountain Chapter. He also maintains a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) certification. Outside of work Jason enjoys family, golf, hunting, fishing, college football, and ATV trail riding.

Senior Operations Manager, Protection Services

Chris Walton

Chris is the Senior Operations Manager for Protection Services. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Lawn and Plant Healthcare departments at Swingle’s Denver headquarters.

Joining the team in May of 2015, Chris is State Certified in GHP, Termite and Fumigation in the state of Florida, as well as Quality Pro Green and Planet Certified. Before joining Swingle, he spent 14 years with Massey Services Inc. in Florida. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jenni and their three girls Shayne, Victoria and Emily. He also enjoys soccer, poker and the outdoors.
