The Swingle Team brought a little extra magic to holidays for a special Colorado military family this year. The Anderson family was nominated through the Decorated Family Program. With their unique story, they were selected to have their home on base decorated by Swingle’s décor experts. In its seventh season, the Program was developed to thank the men and women of our Armed Forces by decorating their homes. While traveling to their new station, the Anderson’s stopped in Denver when their youngest son had a concerning cough. After taking him to doctor, they learned he was battling leukemia. As you can see, the Anderson’s were pleasantly surprised to hear their home would be turned into a winter wonderland for the holidays.
“What an honor, to help make the holidays as special as we can for this familiy. We are so excited to have the opportunity to make their lives more enjoyable,” said Swingle President John Gibson.
NBC’s the Today Show was onsite to film the surprise, as Swingle’s team descended on the Anderson’s like Santa’s elves preparing their home for a memorable Christmas. The segment is scheduled to air December 7th or 8th.
“We have thousands of families who make the sacrifice to serve our country. Many of them are overseas for the holidays, leaving their loved ones home to celebrate without them. It’s our honor to participate in this national program and give something back to the people who protect our freedoms”, said Swingle Owner and CEO Tom Tolkacz.
Nominate a deserving military family in your area for next year and help make their lives more enjoyable.
