Only eight Denver companies made it to round 2 in The Business Journal’s national Social Media Madness Challenge, one of which was Swingle. In its second year, the Challenge rewards winners with a donation of $10,000 to a charity of their choice. Of the approximately 4,000 companies who competed last year, LoudOne, HardRock Cafe, and Target, walked away winners.
Companies are segmented into three categories, which are determined by their collective social following and not the number of employees.
An algorithm determines the score by measuring social engagement rather than growth.
Swingle didn’t make the cut to round 3, where the field was narrowed to only 8 national competitors. Round 4 and 5 are soon to follow, with the winners being announced on August 20th.
