Landscape Management released its 2013 LM150 list of the Green Industry’s largest companies on June 19, 2013. Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape Care of Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado, was ranked 66 overall by the national magazine.
“We owe our success to the people of the Colorado Front Range,” said Swingle Owner and CEO Tom Tolkacz. “The homeowners and commercial property owners we’ve served for over 65 years, the community organizations we support and of course our employees drive us forward.”
Landscape Management, published by North Coast Media, is the leading magazine for landscape contractors. The LM Media Network has an unduplicated audience of 86,499 landscape maintenance, lawn care, irrigation and design/build professionals. LM150 rankings are based on annual revenue.
Swingle was recognized as top 20 leader in the Residential category and in the Lawn Care service segment. Swingle revenues grew 13 percent in 2013, placing the company in the top 50 companies in the country for growth. The magazine highlights Swingle in its “Big Ideas” section for hiring a recruiter to help it fill landscape jobs in Colorado.
“Our commitment to customer service and corresponding high customer retention rates for our lawn and tree services are our principal sources of revenue,” said Tolkacz. “Swingle has been a Colorado company since 1947 and we are here to stay. Our customers can rest assured their landscapes are cared for by an accountable, reliable partner.”
According to Landscape Management, the landscape industry’s top 150 revenue-generating firms logged a combined $7,689,821,749 in 2012 annual revenue—up 2 percent from last year’s list totaling $7,543,372,333 in 2011 annual revenue. The figure remains lower than 2010’s nearly $7.8 billion total. Overall, LM150 companies averaged an 11 percent growth rate from 2011 to 2012.
“Congratulations to Swingle and all the companies on this year’s LM150 list,” said Marisa Palmieri, editor of Landscape Management. “Many of the firms on this list are the best of the best. It’s an honor to be among them.”
