The soil in Colorado is very unique and can be both challenging and frustrating for homeowners and businesses. Much of the state has heavy, clay soil. Plant materials need oxygen and breathability in order to flourish, and clay soils often prevent this from occurring. Additionally, clay soil does not retain moisture properly. Combined, these two limitations drastically reduce root growth for plants, trees and even for your lawn.
While you may think all fertilizers are the same, very few are created for the heavy, clay soil present in the Colorado front range.
Swingle’s 5-Time Lawn Care Program has been specially formulated for Colorado’s unique soil type. Only by providing the proper fertilizer and weed control from the start, will your lawn grow to be healthy and green.
Your lawn care program includes five complete applications from early spring to late fall for the maximum impact both visually and physically, with even growth and consistent color.
Early Spring: Fertilization, pre-emergent for crabgrass and spurge control; weed and insect control as needed.
Late Spring: Fertilizer, pre-emergent sustains continued crabgrass and spurge control. Weed and insect control as needed (there are additional charges for Japanese beetle control).
Summer: Slow-release fertilizer with micro-nutrients. Weed and insect control as needed (there are additional charges for Japanese beetle control).
Late Summer: Fertilizer, weed and insect control as needed. This application helps lawns recover from summer heat stress (there are additional charges for Japanese beetle control).
Fall: Fall’s final winterizing fertilizer is absorbed into the roots and stored throughout the winter season; weed and insect control as needed.
Your 5-Time Lawn Care Program also provides the following:
Guaranteed weed control all season (crabgrass, spurge, etc.)
Property evaluations conducted during each application to identify any issues
Free courtesy visits for any problems or concerns you may have with your lawn in between applications
